Cloud computing is nothing but a data cloud or the Internet metaphor, because in this way is presented a diagram of computer networks. Cloud Computing is an innovative solution for data processing and departure from the traditional software model for SaaS (Software as a Service).
Software as a Service is one of cloud computing models, based on software distribution, where the service is stored and made available to users via the Internet. This eliminates the need to install and run the program on your computer. As a result, the user gives control over the software vendor and ensures its continuity. The user buys a solution for specific functionality without going into issues related to infrastructure – SaaS shifts the responsibilities of management, updating, support from the consumer to the supplier. In many cases, SaaS allows access to the latest technologies without lengthy deployments, and large investments.
Once the workstations were tied to the mainframe computer, now floating in the “cloud”. This means eliminating the need to purchase a license or the installation and administration software. It is associated with a reduction in operating costs and infrastructure applications (licenses, applications, administration, purchasing and maintaining servers, or disk space). While using the Cloud Computing is all with the supplier – customer simply pays for the service. For personal user, this means simply reducing costs to zero when, for example, instead of a paid office suite the user can “manipulate” the documents online, it is called “Cloud”.
With cloud computing applications, just open the browser, log on, customize a solution and start using it.
Just pay for what you use and what affects the efficiency of using the resources – liquid moderating power (on demand). In addition, the Cloud Computing solution can be used even when the devices are scattered around the world.
